Why You Should Always Compare Contact Lens Prices

Why Should You Compare Contact Lens Prices?

Contact lens prices vary wildly from one contact lens website to another. On one popular contact lens site, you may be getting a great price for your brand of contacts, while a different popular site will charge you twice as much!

Case and point:

Brand Box Price Website
Air Optix Aqua  Air Optix Aqua contact lenses  $13.99 USD / box  Lens.com
Air Optix Aqua  Air Optix Aqua contact lenses  $46.99 USD / box  1800Contacts.com

Yes, that’s right. 1800Contacts.com is a website that we often associate with cheap contact lenses, but in fact, the truth is that for most brands, they are among the most expensive.

That is why you should compare contact lens prices before you make a purchase.

What Are The Best Contact Lens Websites?

Every week for the past several years I have been doing contact lens price comparisons at many different websites. All of the following websites have the lowest price for at least one brand:

That being said, certain sites definitely have the lowest prices for more brands than others.

Case and point:

Here are the number of brands each of the following websites have the lowest price for:

Coastal: 1
 DiscountContactLenses: 9
 Walmart: 6
 Lens: 15
 ContactLensKing: 9
 ACLens: 13
 LensDirect: 1

As you can see, there is far from being a single contact lens website with the lowest prices for every brand. That is why I insist that you should always compare contact lens prices before you spend any money.

Contact Lens Prices Are Constantly Fluctuating

If things weren’t confusing enough already, you also have to consider that contact lens websites love to sporadically change their prices. It is not uncommon for people to purchase their contact lenses at a certain price, only to find that the price has surged when they go to re-order (from the same website) a few months later.

Case and point:

Between May 8th 2017 and May 15th 2017, the price for almost every brand spiked at 1800contacts.com.

How To Compare Contact Lens PricesContacts Advice Contact Lens Price Comparison Site

Despite the dozens of sites and constantly fluctuating prices, comparing contact lens prices is easy.

I use to work in the contact lens industry, and every day I would see good hard working people being taken advantage of by the big contact lens companies.

I didn’t like what I was seeing so I learned how to make websites just so that I could start Contacts Advice, the internet’s best contact lens price comparison website.

I’ve made Contacts Advice as simple as possible.

  1. Simply navigate to Contacts Advice’s homepage.
  2. Scroll down until you find your brand of contact lenses.
  3. Next to your brand you will find the website that sells your brand for the lowest price.
  4. Click through and save the maximum amount of money possible on your contacts.

Why Should You Consult Contacts Advice?

It’s simple, compared to other ‘so called’ sites that compare contact lens prices, I do things a little differently:

  • Update prices every week. Why? Because prices change often and you deserve to be kept up to date.
  • I compare prices at the top 10 contact lens websites to make sure that I find the lowest price for you.
  • I compare no less than 50 brands to make sure you find the brand you’re looking for.
